Executive Director and Head Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)

Ih-Ming is the Executive Director and Head of Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) – the joint office between the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), with the mission to make it easy for technology companies and talent to grow and thrive with Singapore. DISG draws on the strengths of EDB, ESG and IMDA to attract and foster globally competitive technology companies to create new products and services from Singapore, for Asia and beyond.

Prior to leading DISG, Ih-Ming played leadership roles at the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) as Director (Industry), and various divisions at the Singapore EDB, including its Business Environment division for tax, trade and incentive policy, its Consumer Businesses global practice, and its Marketing and Media Relations team with responsibility for global corporate communications and strategic marketing. Based in EDB’s Silicon Valley office in California for over 5 years, he also led teams responsible for facilitating business partnerships and investment promotion activity in sectors ranging from Energy, Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Aerospace to Electronics.

Ih-Ming holds a concurrent role as SVP and Head of the Americas Region, International Operations at the Singapore EDB.

He is a Sloan Fellow (2014) from the MIT Sloan School of Management and has biomedical engineering degrees from both Brown University and Stanford University.
